When Kaitlyn was a young child, her father passed away. To cope, Kaitlyn and her younger sister, Kristen, would mail letters and photos to heaven; this helped them overcome the loss. Because this was so helpful, she wanted to share the idea with others who may be trying to cope with the same or a similar loss. The loss of her father, along with other family influences, led Kaitlyn to pursue a career in medicine. Kaitlyn is currently practicing as a certified physician associate in the urgent care setting. Her husband, Sean, is serving in the Army Special Forces. Together they have two children, Adeline (5) and Heidi (3). Kaitlyn first obtained her Masters in Medical Sciences from Methodist University in North Carolina. Later, while stationed in Japan, she completed her Doctorate in Medical Sciences. At this time, Kaitlyn and her family are residing in Washington with their three dogs, chickens, ducks and tiny garden. They spend their free time exploring the outdoors, enjoying every moment that this life has to offer.
